Tips to help you train your staff, your questions answered, and more handy resources to help your business thrive with 100% NOT.
WHY YOU NEED MULTIPLE PLANT-BASED OPTIONS ON YOUR MENU
The plant-based trend is here to stay. It is unusual these days to have a group of 6 or more people where at least one of them is not looking to reduce their meat intake, or are vegetarian or vegan. By not having a plant-based alternative on the menu, you risk losing the whole group from your restaurant.
WHERE CAN I PURCHASE 100% NOT?
100% NOT is made exclusively for the Foodservice industry and is available through Australian Foodservice Distributors, so get in touch with yours to place an order.
Alternatively, a Simplot Australia Foodservice representative can help you place a turn-in order. Simply click through to the Simplot Australia Foodservice website here for state-local contact numbers.
DON'T CALL IT "FAKE MEAT"
This can sound negative and off-putting to your customers - like you're serving them something unnatural and full of chemicals - which isn't the case! Refer to it as "plant-based" as this is the language that is currently being used in the industry and by customers.
AVOID USING "VEGAN" OR "VEGETARIAN" AS THE MAIN SELLING POINT
Most people who eat 100% NOT are meat-eaters, simply looking for a healthier option. We recommend saying, “A delicious plant-based burger (or stir fry or whatever the dish you’re making) suitable for meat lovers, vegetarians, and vegans.”
GIVE CUSTOMERS THE OPTION TO SWAP
Allow your customers the option to swap out traditional meat for 100% NOT on any appropriate menu item.
